Terms of service
The agreement between you and POST POST. Written to be read — if a clause here is doing something surprising, we've tried to say so plainly rather than bury it.
Last updated 11 August 2026
These terms cover your use of POST POST— the website and the physical mail we send on creators’ behalf. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.
1. Who can use POST POST
You must be 18 or older and provide a US mailing address. We only post within the United States at present. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself.
2. Subscriptions and credits
A subscription gives you a number of credits each month. One credit is one drop from one creator you choose: a piece of physical mail, printed and posted to you. You decide which creators your credits go to.
- Mail goes out twice a month, on the 1st and the 15th.
- Credits are granted at the start of each billing period. Anything you don’t spend carries into the next month, up to twice your monthly allowance, and expires three months after it was granted. They have no cash value.
- Credits a creator buys with their own earnings are different: they are not capped and they do not expire, because that is money already earned rather than a monthly allowance.
- Surprise Me: you can tell us a number of leftover credits to place on creators we think you’ll like, so they become mail rather than sitting unspent. We never place more than the number you set, we never do it unless you ask, and you can change it at any time. Anything we don’t place stays saved for you.
- If a creator you chose doesn’t publish in a period, we’ll try to redirect that credit to a similar creator who did, so you still receive something for it.
- Unless you change them, the creators you chose one month carry over to the next, so your mail keeps coming without you having to choose again. We’ll tell you which month your picks came from, and you can change them at any time before mail goes out.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in one click, and we’ll tell you the price, the renewal date and the first charge date before we take your card details.
3. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe; we don’t store your card number. Prices are in US dollars and sales tax is added where applicable. Cancellation and refunds are covered in the Cancellation & Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
4. What you receive, and what you can do with it
The cards we post are yours to keep, pin up, or pass on. What you don’t get is the right to reproduce the artwork: the creator keeps the copyright in their work. Please don’t scan, reprint, or sell the artwork on it.
Each card carries a small code — the heart you can scan. It’s tied to you and to that card, and scanning it tells the creator that you liked it, along with any note you leave. That is the point of it, and the Privacy Policy explains exactly what the creator sees.
5. For creators
Your work stays yours
You keep full copyright and ownership of everything you upload. By publishing a drop you grant us a non-exclusive licence to print, post and display that work for the purpose of running the service — nothing more. You can sell, license, or exhibit the same work anywhere else, at any time.
What you promise us
That the work is yours to publish, that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights, and that you have any permissions needed from people depicted in it. Because we physically print and post what you upload, you agree to cover us for claims arising from your uploads.
Getting paid
You earn a share of the revenue from every credit spent on you, after payment processing and the cost of printing and postage. Earnings are calculated per period, held briefly to cover chargebacks and returns, and then paid out to the bank account you connect. Payouts are batched and subject to a minimum balance, so a very small balance rolls forward to the next payout instead of being sent on its own.
The roster
POST POST is curated. We review each application and may decline one, and we can suspend or remove a creator whose work or conduct breaks these terms. If we suspend you, drops you have scheduled will not be posted.
6. Content we won’t print
No work that infringes copyright, depicts anyone under 18 sexually, is unlawful, or harasses or incites violence against people. We may decline or remove anything that breaks this, and we’ll stop unposted mail where we still can.
7. Copyright complaints
If you believe work published here infringes your copyright, write to [email protected]identifying the work, where it appears, and your contact details, with a statement that you believe in good faith that its use is unauthorised. We’ll remove it while we look, halt any mail that hasn’t gone out, and give the creator a chance to respond. We terminate repeat infringers.
We cannot recall mail that has already been posted. That is a real limit of a physical product and it’s why we review the roster by hand.
8. Availability
We’ll try to keep everything running and post what you’re owed, but we depend on printers and the postal service. Delivery times aren’t guaranteed. If mail doesn’t arrive, the refunds policy says what we do about it.
9. Ending things
You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close yours without cause, we’ll refund anything you’ve paid for that we haven’t delivered.
10. The legal necessities
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties beyond those the law requires and does not allow us to exclude. To the extent the law permits, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these terms; if a change materially affects you, we’ll tell you before it takes effect and the date at the top will change.
